Unable to locate families file on my device

Ok, I might be guilty of 'not seeing the wood for the trees' but here goes. Downloaded the app and installed on my phone Samsung Galaxy S3. Installed Families Sync on PC running Windows 7 Home Premium. File converted apparently ok however Families Sync unable to 'locate' my phone so followed instructions to manually transfer. Again appears ok and I can see file on my phones SD Card. Changed base file details in Families to read /mnt/extSdCard/Familes - program accepted the change and instructed me to restart the app which I've done but I still can't see my Legacy File.
What have I done am I doing wrong.

I think the Base Folder value should just be /mnt/extSdCard.
