Legacy 8.xx

Malcolm,
Will you be updating Families to work with Legacy 8.xx? If yes, any estimate as to when the update will be available.

Thank you,
RonB

The new version is currently being beta tested and should be available within the next month.

On the Windows platform we will have the option of running both Legacy 7.5 and Legacy 8 as long as our databases are formatted for the equivalent version. I noticed that when I upgraded to a new level of Legacy 7.5 which contained some database format changes , there was a new level of Families required , 1.8.4. I was on 1.8.2 of Families and my new database would not work with that level but was fine with 1.8.4 , as was my old database. Will the new level of Families for a Legacy 8 database be similarly downward comptible with a Legacy 7.5 database, or is it a one way trip ?

It will work with both.
